When someone comes to me for the first time they often want to go through their MRI scan results in more detail, to look at my skeleton and to actually ‘see’ which part of the spine is affected.

Low back pain often occurs in the lumbar vertebrae, usually referred to as L1, L2, L3 L4 and L5. The ‘L’ represents the ‘lumbar’ and the number represents the vertebrae of the lumbar spine from top to bottom. Also included will be the Sacrum and Pelvis.
