Core-Stability-2

Effective training for abdominal (Core) fitness

We need our abdominal muscles to work effectively at all times to help support our spine, and reduce the likelihood of injury. Muscle imbalances result in small changes in posture and spinal movements causing compressive stress in the facet joints and intervertebral discs of the spine.

As a Master in Corrective Exercise my conditioning programme will provide for you:

  • Training in the correct recruitment of the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.
  • An integrative and functional approach to progressive core stabilisation exercises.
  • Training for optimal postural alignment during dynamic sports and exercise.
  • Teaching of normal breathing patterns to aid abdominal control.
  • Improved co-ordination, balance and abdominal tone.
  • Improved spinal alignment, shoulder joint stability and range of movement.
  • Increased muscular strength and flexibility.
